JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LIFE GROUPS
The Life Group Host is to provide the home for the meeting and create a Welcoming environment. An atmosphere where each individual in the group feels safe and comfortable is the first step toward developing relationships and initiating life change in your group.
Qualifications of a Life Group Host:
Provide your home for the meetings. Remember the goal is not a spotless home but a hospitable home. The focus is on building relationships not impressing the group.
Organize and facilitate refreshments. Most groups ask the group members to sign up for an evening to bring treats. The Host will call or email to remind them when it is their turn. The Host provides beverages for each meeting.
Work with Life Groups Ministry Assistant Beth Wallman (email@example.com) to arrange for childcare for your group if needed. Provide a separate area of your home for the childcare. Report childcare provider information monthly to Beth.
The responsibilities of the Life Group Host are both administrative and relational. Support and assist your group’s Leader and Lesson Facilitator when ever needed. Identify and develop a qualified apprentice during the second year of your group.
